About Joteru

We build the software businesses run on, and the cloud it runs on.

Joteru started in 2017 with a simple bet: companies don't want a software vendor and a cloud vendor — they want one accountable partner. A decade in, that bet looks right.

What we believe

Four operating principles.

01

Ship the seam.

The boundary between software and infrastructure is where most products fail. We own both sides.

02

Operate what we ship.

Engineers carry the pager. Reliability is a product feature, not a department.

03

Default to compliance.

If the regulated industry can't use it, neither can the casual one. We start at the harder bar.

04

Be a long-term vendor.

Predictable terms, predictable roadmap, no rug-pulls. Our customers stay for a decade.

The story

From one POS to a platform.

We started by building a point-of-sale for a friend's coffee shop. It needed to be reliable on a flaky connection, easy enough for a part-time hire to learn in an hour, and honest about its margins.

Two years later we had retailers, restaurants, and clinics asking for the same shape of product. The pattern was always the same: vertical software that respects how the work actually happens.

Running thousands of those workloads taught us something else — the cloud underneath mattered as much as the app on top. So we built Joteru Cloud, and opened it up to customers who wanted the same operational floor for their own software.
